The brief
This project involved the structural design, engineering, certification and installation of an industrial scale for a commercial heavy vehicle weighing application. A weighbridge is only useful if it stays level and stable under repeated heavy loads, because even small movement in the structure or its foundations affects weighing accuracy.
Our engineering approach
Our scope covered the civil and structural engineering needed for the weighbridge installation to comply with the relevant Australian Standards, the project specifications and the conditions on site. That included structural calculations for the weighbridge and the design of its foundations, matched to the ground the scale sits on.
